Hello Girlies,

Today is my  wedding anniversary and this is what I am wearing. This red peplum dress which I bought few months back on my trip to Dublin, Ireland. The moment I saw this red dress the first thought that popped up in my mind was to keep this for my special day. I know its been really long to just hang on with this beautiful dress and not wear it but finally I am wearing it today and I hope my husband loves it:)

I paired this beautiful  red dress with a beautiful a black purse which has golden studs on it and a golden-brown arm band. I wore these really simple stud earnings and wore this flat neck piece which went really well with my red peplum dress. I wore a pair of black  stilettos which goes in sync with the purse.

 

 

I tied up my hair in a side bun , it is not a perfect sleek bun instead it is a loose side bun. Since i wanted to wear this red lipstick i opted for neutral shades for eye shadow, kajal and mascara.

My Experience/ thoughts:

We all have used variety of cleansing milks to find out which is the one for us. Before trying Loreal one I was using Revlon Hydra Boost Cleansing Milk and was quite happy with it and it lasted me for a long time. But once I was done with it I wanted to try something new, so when I was browsing through the products I came across L'Oreal Triple Active Cleansing Milk and what attracted me was it is for dry and sensitive skin. It claims to hydrate, cleanses and soothes. It has a runny consistency so one has to be careful while taking out the product otherwise you end up having lot more than required. After applying and massaging it turns into oil on your face. Might sound scary to some but it is easily removable with damp cotton and no oil traces are left. It removes makeup, cleanses and hydrates skin. It removes dirt easily and is a great cleanser to be used at the end of the day.  The product does impart moisturization.  I use it every night and love its results, this product is ideal for dry and sensitive skin. Overall, this cleansing milk is great for beauties with dry skin and one bottle goes a long way.

Maxi Dress

Hello girlies,

Hope everyone is feeling fabulous today!!!

Lately weather has been amazing out here. Warm and bright sunny days, perfect time to wear maxi dresses. In recent years maxi dresses have come around each year as a summer time staple and is on trend this season as well. So going on with the trend this season here’s another look of the day. There is a lot to love about the maxi dress :: it’s comfortable and easy to wear for numerous occasions and events, has the ability to dress up or down.

I love wearing maxi dress, they are just so comfortable and love the way they give you a summer hippie look.

The maxi dress I’m wearing is a find from Åhlens – a really cute flowery chiffon dress with side slits. I kept the look simple with minimal accessorizing. Stacked some bracelets and carried a pink hobo bag.

Finally I completed the look with tri coloured sandals which gave a little zing to the whole look.

 Makeup wise I kept  it bare minimal with just concealer, setting powder and lip gloss.

Nail Stickers

This season I am really hooked on nail art. Its easy to do and much more fun . So here's another quick tutorial for you guys and in this I am using nail stickers, hope you guys enjoy it:)

Things you require for this are nail paint of your choice, some nail art stickers, a pair of tweezers and a top coat.

Step 1: Choose the nail paint of your choice and apply it as a base coat and this time I went for bright yellow nail paint.

Step 2: Choose the nail art stickers you wish to use, I am using these flowery black stickers.

Step 3: Pick up the stickers with your fingers or with tweezers whichever way is comfortable and place them on each nail one by one while your nail paint is still wet. This way they sit well.

Step 4: Once the nail paint dries completely apply a top coat in order to fix your sticker.

Tada its done.

Today I am doing the review of  "L'Oreal Color Riche Serum" in shade S502, True red.

Product Claim:

Instant glow, long lasting , hydrating , reshapes and gives a definite shape to the lips. The lipstick contains anti aging serum since contains collagen and pro-xylane in the core of the lipstick which has anti aging properties making your lips looking younger.

Packaging:

I really love the packaging of Color Riche Serum as it comes in this golden container which enhances the beauty of your makeup desk. It has a little clip on the cap so when you are done you can close the cap and keep it your purse.The top of the cap is transparent so you can see the color you want to apply without opening the lipstick.


My Experience/Thoughts:

This lipstick is really rich in pigment, even two or three dab on my lips are sometimes enough to get the effect(the swatches of lipsticks shown in the pictures are just one swipe).  The first swatch is taken indoors and second picture is taken in the sun. It has a kind of moisture stick in the center which hydrates the lips and prevents it from getting chapped, so its not for people who are looking for a very matte finish.  Its long lasting and it works perfect for someone who is working 9-5 and do not have time  for touch ups but this shade in true red is not the office color so one  need to choose from a variety of L'Oreals Riche Serum collection. My friend applied this lipstick and was out the whole day and she did not feel the need to re apply it,  so its claim of long lasting effect stands correct. It gives that instant radiant glow on the lips and do not feathers easily.  The shade S502 is not a every day shade but it works out perfect for those special occasions. Being an Indian I feel this color is perfect for  Indian weddings as it would go with all the Indian dresses.

My Experience/ thoughts:

I love the way it smells, sweet and flowery very fresh and relaxing. The smell lingers on, even after few hours you can smell it on your hands. The consistency is thick but it gets absorbed very quickly and its not at all greasy.  The light formula is great for women who need a cream that absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves your hand  feeling soft, smooth and moisturized . But after a while my hands got a little dry. So it falls short of its claim of 24+ hours of moisturization.  It is not as moisturizing as I thought it would be but then I  have   dry skin. I think it would be more suitable for people with normal to oily skin.

For me this is not my absolute favourite  hand cream but since its compact,easy to carry and not that heavy on the pocket. I keep it in my handbag. When you are 9-5 at work and u need something that is compact and easy to apply this comes to rescue.

Fit and Flared Summer Dress

Hello Girlies,

I am absolutely enchanted by the summer sun and how it brings with itself the luscious green fields and patches of wildflower reserves. I am just thrilled to see how this season brings out the energetic, lively and colorful self in me. So here I am with my first look of the day:)

I am wearing this really light flared summer dress with sleek, narrow and adjustable shoulder straps. It has  really pretty ruffled edges  in the neckline  with removable tie belt which gives a very girlie look. Fit and flared dresses comes in multitude of patterns , prints and colors and require minimal accessorizing. I am wearing a  pair of single pearl ear studs and I am carrying this bright yellow bag.

Depending upon the length of flared dresses one can consider which kind of shoes will correspond best with them. I am wearing this really bright pink and red colored block heels. It pops up the whole look.

I tied my hair to a  loose side braid and applied minimal makeup and I am wearing these sunglasses from H&M in pilot model.
